Looking back: LAB & Co

The energy train left the station with 16 destinations on its itinerary. First stop was Mindfulness and then the final destination left us “Jumping with Joy” celebrating the year with Christmas tree fruit platters, refreshments and a trip down LAB & Co memory lane.

“Energetic, homely, entertaining and exhilarating. We cannot wait to for next week.”

“I like that I can bring anyone along, especially our rangatahi and know that they’d feel safe and a sense of belonging.”

These are just some of the feelings that people and our partner agencies expressed after attending our LAB & Co weekly events.

Some of our exciting moments were highlighting stories, experiences and gems that our very own Good Neighbour people were able to bring to LAB & Co.

We had the likes of Lee Pearce (GN Head Chef) educate us on food safety, Lucy Willard (GN Food Rescue) share the challenges of immigrating to New Zealand and finding meaningful relationships and Eva Wolf (GN Volunteer) teaching us sourdough making and how this process correlates to developing a healthy life, work balance.

We made good friends and we ate good food while having a blast. LAB & Co will be reviewed and will return in 2024, so watch this space.
