Neighbourhood Project FAQ’s

We see ourselves as being a partner organisation. We partner with people in need by matching the need in the neighbourhood with people or organisations who have skills, time or resources to give.

There are multiple ways to help in any given situation. You may have a specific skill or passion that is suited to a particular project, or food rescue or community garden. Maybe you have some spare time you could donate to a project or food rescue or community garden. You may have access to machinery or resources (eg. Timber)  you could donate to a project. Volunteer in the area you are interested in.Click here to volunteer

Definitely, we want children involved. We want to provide opportunities for parents to work alongside their children to demonstrate love in action. It also shows children the benefits of helping others and making a positive difference in their neighbourhood. Keep an eye on our Events page for suitable opportunities for children to be involved.

See our Events page. This shows our event calendar with dates for different events/projects. Sign up for our regular e-mails at the bottom of this page or you can follow us on Facebook.

We live in the wider Tauranga community. Good Neighbour is concentrating on the Brookfield, Otumoetai and Merivale neighbourhoods initially. However we have done projects in most areas of Tauranga. We would also consider needs in the Mt Maunganui, Arataki areas.
